About
CAPA Mascot is an organization and fundraiser running to create a mascot costume for CAPA High School. It was formed in October 2023 by junior visual artist Alland Adorno.
The school’s administration has shown approval to proposals, but due to insufficient funding, we are not able to afford a professionally-made costume. Two visual artists opted to create the costume themselves, and the rest of the team has decided to assist with fundraising.
The team has estimated a total price of around 1,000 USD for the costume. We wish to have this costume completed by the middle of the 2024-2025 school year.
We look forward to bringing more energy to our incentives and sporting events for the years to come!

This group started on October 2nd, 2023 when the Philadelphia Phillies visited CAPA with their famous mascot, the Phillie Phanatic.
Alland wished for the same energy to be transferred to the school’s event. He emailed Tom, the Phanatic’s best friend, and received advice on how to capture the same essence of the green guy.
He then approached his classmates about his ideas, and many of them wished for them to exist.
As students of the school, many of our members and their classmates felt a lack of enthusiasm from our school.
We wanted a fun and creative way to express our art expression, while bringing the community together with a goofy horse character.
We have envisioned this mascot attending our future sporting events, our incentives, orientations, open house, and many more exciting events. We wish to make a change for our community.
